Brass Bed’s “Please Don’t Go” video premieres

Paste Magazine premiered the first video from Brass Bed this week and they like what they heard from the boys. “A quick listen to the album’s catchy hooks and earnest lyrics shows that the band’s dynamic has strengthened, and several stand-out performances at South by Southwest this year (including a memorable set at our own party during SXSW Interactive) seem to confirm that Brass Bed’s buzz is only continuing to build.”

The video was created by Makemade who had this to say about the process, “We shot this new Brass Bed music video with one crew member, one light, one iphone, one projector, one 5d, and three shirtless men.”

NPR’s All Songs Considered features Brass Bed’s ‘Cold Chicory’ + band announces tour with The Generationals

Big news from the Brass Bed camp, NPR Music co-director, Robin Hilton loves the new Brass Bed record and kicked off this week’s episode with “Cold Chicory” from the record. Hear the lead track off their upcoming album, The Secret Will Keep You, HERE and all the other featured songs in this week’s episode of All Songs Considered.

The album is out April 23rd on Crossbill Records / Off The Air Recordings and it was recorded in a single 10 day session with Danny Reisch at Public Hi Fi Studios in Austin, Texas, putting everything down live to tape. The compressed schedule and quick change recording methods helped Brass Bed capture the anxiety, humor, and honesty that is the molten core of this record and also the spirit of the band at the time of its creation.
