I know it’s been a little quiet in recent months, but I’m hearing a low rumble out in the distance and we are excited to share the news that Tom Brosseau is currently working on two albums. Tom will also be embarking on a tour this spring of the U.K. and Europe. Stopping in England, Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Portugal.
The two albums. One is recorded by Sean Watkins in Los Angeles, a projects that’s been in the works since 2016. It’s a Carter Family album, but not just any Carter Family album. Tom and Sean dug deep down into the Carter catalogue to find those seldom heard gems. For that it takes time and patience. The result will surely be a pleaser, an album centered on acoustic guitar and vocal harmonies, just like the Carters would’ve done, but with a modern take. Album number two, Tom’s next solo effort, recorded in Minneapolis and produced by friend and musical colleague, Gabriel Burkum.
As we gear up for an eventual album release we appreciate your patience and support as always. Here’s the low down on Tom’s upcoming tour dates. Feel free to connect with Tom (info@tombrosseau.com) for more information on shows.
